International Sunday - 12th November
====================================================
A special Sunday Service by Hope Auckland Christian Church.  This is
an opportunity to invite your friends to come and join us and
celebrate God with international flavor.  There will be song
presentations, a display of national costumes from about 15 countries,
an international lunch and finally a display of fantastic books from
the church's book store, most on sale. Sounds good! Cya there!

Christmas for Kids
==================
Please keep your pledges coming, and keep Nov 20th free as this is the
day when we will be going to the Bairds Mainfreight Primary School and
run a special programme to bless the kids. If you want to part of this
great event, please keep free the week before 20th November as we will
be preparing and organising the event.

AGM Update

 A BIG and HUGE thank you to this year's committee for all of their hard work.  We want to extend
our appreciation to Sarah (President), Kevin (Secretary) and Felix
(Treasurer). They did a great job! Thank you all.
We want to warmly welcome and congratulate the newly appointed 2007 CCM Committee:  Kevin as President, Li Hsien as Treasurer and Nicky who will be Secretary.  Thank you for braving yourselves to take on the task of serving the club as committee members.  We look forward to an exciting new year ahead! Thank you also to those who showed up on the day to show support.

CCM Sports Day
==============
CCM is having a fun sports day on Saturday 8th October. There will be
basketball, soccer, touch rugby and many more. There will also be fierce but
friendly competition between the youth, uni, young adult, adult groups. Uni is
going to kick butt! Muahaa let the game begin.

Time: 10:30am-12:30noon
Place: Sports field at Grafton Hall of Residence (40 Seafield View Road Grafton)

Christmas For Kids (CFK)
========================
The tickets are out now! This year we want to raise $6000 so that we can buy
enough presents for at least 200 needy kids and their families from South
Auckland. You can help out by buying and selling tickets and asking for
donations. The tickets are $10 each. The program on the night itself includes:
live auction (slaves, electronic things, travel tickets, hotel voucher),
classic instrumental performance, live youth band, mime, dance performance and
many more.

We are all in this together. Let's believe and work together to reach the goal
of $6000 and see kids from South Auckland being blessed this Christmas.

Date: Friday 14th October
Time: 7pm-9pm
Venue: The Function Room at The University of Auckland
Cost: $10 per person

Water Baptism

For those who have not water baptised yet, we will be having a water baptism on
Saturday 22nd October. For those interested or want to find out more about it
please talk to your care group leaders.

English Conversation Class

Want to improve your English conversation skills? Then come to our English
conversation class taught by a native English speaker from  Canada. The
conversation class revolves around bible verses and  stories. For those
interested,  please come to Commerce A Building Room G15 from 4-5pm. More

Ready, Steady, Cook!

Come join us for this fun, outreach event.  Bring your friends and form
a team and take part in a fun cooking competition.  All ingredients and
cooking utensils will be provided.  Yummy desserts to follow and an
opportunity for your friends to hear exciting and powerful testimonies
about what God has done in people's lives.

War Games

The war between Troy and Sparta.  Who will win the battle to become the
most powerful city?  Join us in this exciting event on July 27th,
Friday from 5-7pm followed by a Sausage Sizzle.  Meet at Commerce A G13

THE GREAT AMAZING RACE 10.30am 12-March, 2005

The Clock Tower, Auckland Uni.

Dec 10:  Hope Sydney Missions Team.
Dec 17:  "Secret Santa" - everyone bring a $2 present to exchange.
Dec 31: Overnite care group at 6A Lillington Road. Welcome in 2005
together. Care group starts at 10 pm. Bring toothbrush, sleeping bag,
snacks.

Post Exam Party Date : 13th November
Time : 6pm
Venue: The Railway Campus (where the old railway station used to be) @
26-48 Te Taou Crescent (off Beach Roda), Downtwon.
Cost : $6
Dress Code/ Theme : Mexian (Dress up with a mexican "feel" if possible -otherwise at least wear their national colors , red, white or green)

 


"Intelligent Design" Seminar

Date: 14th November, Sunday 1pm
Venue: Hope Auckland Christian Church (level 1, No.3 Melrose Street,
Newmarket)
Cost: FREE!!!


Santa's Gift Factory (29 November)

We raised over $1000 from the fundraising event "Pizza, Coke and Kids"!
On Saturday 29th November, CCM will use the money raised to buy and
bless presents to 100 needy kids from South Auckland. On that day CCM
will be presenting dance, drama, songs and play fun games with these
kids. It is also a great time and opportunity to bless them with God's
love and message. So make this date free and join us to see the smiles
on these kids' faces. If you are interested in be part of the
presentation (dance, drama, songs and games) on the day, feel free to e-
mail ccm@hope.org.nz.

 

8th Oct (Friday): CCM Annual General Meeting (AGM). Please come and
found out what is going to happen next year. We need as many turn out
as possible.

15th Oct: Pizza, Coke and Kids. This is a fund raising event,
associated with with Papatoetoe Adolescent Christian Trust, to raise
money to buy Christmas presents for the less fortunate kinds. On the
29th Nov, CCM will present these presents, together with drama and
songs, to around 100 most needy kids from the schools of South
Auckland.

  Venue: The Railway Campus, 26-48 Te Taou Crescent, Auckland.
  Cost: $8 per person (includes dinner and entertainments)

22nd and 29th Oct: Boy Girl Relationship (BGR) seminar during
the Friday CCM care groups. Come to find out what the bible has to say
about your future partner and how to have a Godly boy girl
relationship.

End of semester one CCM Rotorua holiday trip!

Date: 5-7 July (Mon ­ Wed)

What's in it: Ski at Mt. Ruapehu, Safari Bush Drive, fun games, bible
study, praise & worship, fun cooking sessions.

Cost: Only $90 overall! This includes:
- 2 nights at 5 STAR hotel ($35 per person with 4 people in one room.
The cost may vary if less than 4ppl in one room)
- food ($35 excluding Tues lunch)
- transport to and from ($20).

The cost of skiing is an extra $70. The cost of Safari Bush Drive is
still to be confirmed. Both the ski and Safari Bush Drive is optional.
So you can opt to not go on either on them and do something else. If
people want to ski, then they should need to bring about $100 extra. 
If no skiing, another $30-40 extra should be sufficient.

1. Sandune Thrills

Date: 10th April
Where: Bethels Beach
Time: 9am meet @ Auckland University Clock Tower on Princes Street
      3pm return to city
Programme: Castle fight, Beach Rugby, Frisbie Rugby, Pick on Mummy game, Boggy boarding down sandune hills, crystal clear lakes and just hang
out enjoy the day.

 

2. Hope Auckland Christian Church Camp

Date: 16th-19th April (during mid-sem break)

Venue: YMCA Camp Adair

Cost: $75 student ($20 deposit). Include all meals, transport, 3 nights
accommodation.

Programme: Dynamic life changing preaching from powerful pastor
all the way from Australia, electrifying praise and worship, fun team
building games and activities, mudslides, BBQ camp fire and dance, Hope
Idol, mouth watering food and heaps more!
